With a little planning either the night before or getting up five to ten minutes earlier one can find time to eat breakfast. We've heard many times that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We've gone for ten or so hours without food and possibly without water. The blood sugar is low and there is probably little energy there. On top of that, it's time to get everyone else off to school and it's time for the head to get ready to head off to work.
By planning ahead, these insurmountable tasks will fall into line. Some ideas include making a breakfast casserole the night before. When you awaken, place it in the microwave and when you are dressed and the family is dressed the casserole will be ready to serve. Cold cereal boxes can be set on the table the night before along with sugar and the necessary dishes. This can be eaten while still in pajamas or right after one is dressed and before going out the door. A big batch of waffles can be made and frozen.
When ready to eat take out the required number of waffles and place them in the toaster. Scrambled eggs can be whipped up the night before and placed in a casserole or frying pan and kept refrigerated. When ready to eat breakfast the next morning they can be heated through and served. Water can be in a pan and several eggs laid out, all ready to boil eggs this next morning. By the time one is dressed the boiled eggs will be ready to serve.
