Promising research results may lead to additional advances in treating Alzheimer's and Cancer. People with Alzheimer's are less likely to develop cancer and those with cancer are less likely to develop Alzheimer's. A recent study found that those with Alzheimer's at the beginning of the study had 69% less of chance of being hospitalized for cancer after eight years than those who did not have Alzheimer's. Those who had cancer were 43% less likely to develop Alzheimer's after five years than those who did not have cancer. The links between the two conditions may help researchers find new treatments for them. It is very promising to hear of the many advancements being made in the medical field.
